Our Story
I've always been drawn to the things that don't last. Old photographs tucked into family albums. Home videos. Handwritten recipes stained with butter. The sound of someone laughing in the background of a film from twenty years ago.
Long before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I found myself documenting ordinary life — not because I knew it would become my career, but because I couldn't shake the feeling that these ordinary moments mattered.
Becoming a mother only made that feeling stronger. It taught me that a life isn't remembered through milestones alone, but through all the quiet, seemingly insignificant moments in between. That idea has shaped everything I've made since — photographs, films, and the way I document my own family. And it's ultimately what brought me here.
Our Philosophy
We don't believe your wedding is a performance. We believe it's the beginning of a family archive — one chapter in a story that will continue to unfold for decades to come.
That's why we're drawn to Super 8 and camcorders as our medium of choice. There's an honesty to these formats that feels different from traditional wedding films. They leave room for movement, imperfection, voices in the background, shaky hands, strange little moments and all the things that make a memory feel real.
Our role isn't to turn your wedding into a production. It's to notice what's already there.

By The Coopers is a family business in every sense of the word. My husband, Isaac, is sometimes behind the scenes recording audio, carrying gear, or second shooting alongside me, and our children are the reason this business exists in the first place. They remind me every single day that time moves quickly. That ordinary afternoons become cherished memories. That today's chaos becomes tomorrow's nostalgia. They've shaped not only my life, but my work. Every story we tell is rooted in the same hope: that the people you love today will always have something beautiful to return to tomorrow.
