FIG III. WHAT IT FEELS LIKE
I want documenting your wedding to feel like part of the day — not something the day has to stop for.
You won't find a big production setup here. I work primarily with Super 8 and camcorders, moving through the day quietly and paying attention to what's already happening. Sometimes the camcorder is in my hands. Sometimes it's passed to someone you love. The goal is to collect your wedding from more than one perspective — including the moments happening when I'm somewhere else.
Super 8 asks us to slow down and choose what matters. A roll only holds a few minutes, so every time I press the trigger, it's intentional. Camcorder lets us do the opposite — linger a little longer, record the voices, the chaos, the speeches, the dancing, and all the wonderfully ordinary pieces in between.
Together, they create something that feels less like a wedding production and more like a family archive in the making.
You get to live it. I'll make sure you can come back to it.
FIG I. MY APPROACH
Your wedding day is not a production — and it shouldn't feel like one.
I document weddings using Super 8 film and camcorders because I want your wedding film to feel less like something that was produced and more like something you found years later in a box of family movies.
My approach is observational and intentionally unobtrusive. I'm looking for the things already happening — your dad lingering in the doorway, your friends losing it on the dance floor, someone's hand reaching for yours, the voices and movement and imperfect little moments that make the day yours.
There will be moments when I offer a little direction, but for the most part, you get to be at your wedding. I'll take care of remembering it.
FIG II. THE RIGHT FIT
We might be the right fit if you're less interested in a perfectly polished wedding video and more interested in remembering what your wedding actually felt like.
You love the grain and unpredictability of real film. The shaky camcorder clips. Voices from across the room. Imperfect framing. Your best friend's laugh. Your grandparents dancing. The moments that would never make it into a traditional wedding film but somehow become the ones you treasure most.
Maybe you're getting married at the courthouse and heading to your favorite bar afterward. Maybe 150 of your favorite people are flying into Seattle to celebrate with you. The scale doesn't really matter to me.
What matters is that you're planning a wedding you actually want to experience — not a production you need to perform for.
If you want something honest, nostalgic, a little imperfect, and completely yours, we'll probably get along really well.
